ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF YOSEMITE TERMINAL COMPANY
XXXKNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That we, the undersigned, residents of the State of California, do hereby associates ourselves into a corporation under the name of YOSEMITE TERMINAL COMPANY, and do hereby agree with each other and do certify and declare as follows:
XXXFIRST. That the name of said corporation shall be
YOSEMITE TERMINAL COMPANY.
XXXSECOND. That the purpose for which said corporation is formed is to carry on and conduct a general hotel, livery, transportation and express business; the business of raising, grazing, buying and selling cattle, sheep, hogs, horses and other live stock; to purchase, lease or otherwise acquire, hold, possess, use, improve, sell, convey or otherwise dispose of every kind of property, whether real or personal, and wheresoever situate, including stock in other corporations, patents and patent rights; carry on all kinds of manufacturing enterprises or businesses; borrow or loan money, on pledge, mortgage or otherwise; acquire water and water-rights for all purposes, to use for power of every kind; to promote irrigation and every other business; to construct and maintain dams, levees, weirs, canals, and do all other acts necessary to secure, impound and use water for power, irrigation, manufacturing and other purposes; to carry on all kinds of wholesale and retail merchandise business; to carry on the business of farming in all its branches; raise and cultivate grapes, fruit and agriculture products and convert, sell, or dispose of the same; locate and lay out town sites, and sell the same in lots or subdivisions or otherwise; conduct the business of warehousemen, and do a general warehousing business; bore or mine for coal-oil, asphaltum and other metals and minerals, and to take out, treat, reduce, refine, transport and dispose of the products, and everything incident to each of said businesses; also to conduct and carry on business for which individuals may lawfully associate themselves; and to have and exercise all powers, and do all acts necessary or desirable in order to carry on the business and purposes for which this corporation is formed.
XXXTHIRD. That the place where the principal business of said Corporation is to be transacted is El Portal, in the County of Mariposa, State of California.
XXXFOURTH. That the term for which said Corporation is to exist is fifty years.
XXXFIFTH. That the number of its directors shall be three, and the following are the names and residences of those who are appointed as such Directors for the first year, that is until their successors are elected at the first regular annual meeting: |
