CASE CLOSED
On October 19, 1908, Yosemite Valley Railroad Company filed
application for station grounds in connection with the Yosemite Valley
Railroad Company for land in the N½NW¼SE¼ and NW¼NE¼SE¼ approximately
13.71 acres in Sec. 17, T. 3 S., R. 20 E., M.D.B. & M., California.
The application was approved May 22, 1913. The Yosemite Valley
Railroad Company abandoned its right-of-way and the station grounds
granted under this application. A suit -was brought under Civil
No. 827-ND in the United States District Court of Los Angeles to cancel
the right-of-way and also the grant for station grounds covered by
this application.
On November 21, 1949, the United States District Judge rendered
his decree holding the grant for station grounds site formerly occupied
by Yosemite Valley Railroad Company which is the same as that described
in this application 0614 for cancellation. This cancellation to take
affect on the filing of the certified copy of the decree of the Court
in the Land Office, Sacramento, California.
On June 1, 1950, a copy of this decree was filed in the Land Office
at Sacramento.
Accordingly, the grant for station grounds under serial number 0614
is cancelled and the case closed.
