Yosemite Stone Co. To Resume Operations
Ransom & Crummy, contractors and street builders of Oakland, have taken over the rock crushing plant of the Yosemite Stone company at Exchequer, and will start operations within 30 days. This is good news to the people of Mariposa and Merced Counties, as this plant has been idle almost continuously since its erection, owing to the bad management which followed while it was under the direction of Mr. Chappelle. The rock crushing plant of the Yosemite Stone company is one of the most modern and best equipped to be found in the state of California and has a large capacity.
Ransom & Crummy are well known contractors and street pavers, having headquarters in Oakland. It is understood that this firm also proposes to enter this field in an endeavor to secure contracts and that it will bid on the street work to be done in this city, when opportunity is presented.
