January 19, 1907 Mariposa Gazette "A plant for crushing rock (for use on streets and in making concrete) is to be established on the line of the Yosemite Valley railroad between Pleasant Valley and Bagby, by a company headed by S.D. Prather; and it expected that the works will be in operation within six months. Machinery has been purchased. An investment of about $35,000 will be made for the plant, and twenty-five men will be employed. This establishment will be in a position to furnish crushed rock for San Joaquin Valley towns cheaper than such material can be obtained elsewhere." [originally in January 17 Merced Star]
