1930 Hetch Hetcy #21 at Mather

This car was purchased by Alfred Rose when the Hetch Hetchy Railroad ceased operations. He loaned it to the National Park Service for display at El Portal at the Yosemite Museum of Transportation. It was displayed in an open shed for a number of years and as other museum objects at the museum was not properly preserved. Fortunetly not long before his death Al Rose started proceedings to remove the car from the museum. After his death, his widow continued the effort and the car is now presevred at Rail Town 1897, a branch of the California State Railroad Museum at Jamestown, California.
