The It's
A Wonderful Life Webring
has been mentioned in print!!
We are
very proud of the mentions that the It's A Wonderful Life webring
receives in the media, be it print or broadcast. We will do our best
to secure copies of the articles about the ring and permission to
reprint them as scans or text on these pages. If you hear of any not
listed here please contact
us and let us know.
The following mentions are in reverse order of
when they appeared:
-
On March 19th 2005 the IAWL webring coordinator
was honored to be interviewed on the Milestones Radio Show
on WPEN, 950 AM in Philadelphia. The interview lasted about
7 minutes and covered topics ranging from characters in the
film to a bit about the webring itself and the draw this film
has after all of these years. Our thanks go out to Mr. Spector
and Mr. McNutt of the Milestones Radio Show for allowing us
to be part of the program.
- On Christmas
Eve 2001 our webring was mentioned on the first page of the
'Living' section in The Daily
Southtown News of Chicago! the article was very nice and positive
both towards the webring AND toward the movie "It's A Wonderful
Life". Please click here
to see the entire article.
- On December
20, 2001 The Post Crescent
wrote a nice piece on the movie It's A Wonderful Life. The Webring
Administrator was interviewed and the webring was given a nice mention
in the story. Click here to see
the article.
- We have been told that In
December of 2000 we were mentioned in TV Guide! However
we were never able to secure a copy of the magazine to verify this.
If anyone has any December of 2000 TV Guides and can provide me
proof of this I'd really appreciate it!
- In 1999 The
Toronto Star wrote about us. The article was kind of flippant
and could be read either tongue in cheek or with a slightly negative
spin toward the commitment of our webring members. Select
this link to view the article.
- In the December
of 1998 Yahoo Internet Life, (a print
magazine), gave us a VERY nice mention in their 'Click Around
The Net' section. The article was very nice and included a slick
1/3 of a page spread complete with a screenshot of our main page
and a special IAWL/Jimmy Stewart graphic of theirs! Click here for more details and
a scan of the Yahoo Internet Life article.
We are very proud of our write-ups in print media.
Thanks folks! :-)
